The bird and reptile team are offering a 4 day placement focusing on our bird of prey collection.
Wings of wonder opened in 2019 bringing a big expansion to the birds of prey section at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. We currently deliver two bird of prey flying displays, all year around. We have a large outdoor flying arena and a large indoor arena, so these displays happen no matter the weather. We have a diverse team of flying birds as well as housing white headed vultures as part of our EEP program.
This exciting opportunity will give someone the chance to see and be involved with our daily bird of prey displays, behind the scenes training and husbandry. As our bird of prey team also take care of our reptiles and other birds so there may be opportunity to see the wider section.
This placement would benefit someone who is wanting to to gain experience working with a variety of birds of prey. There will an opportunity to learn how to make falconry equipment, swing a lure, fly birds in public display, beak coping, feather imping and general bird of prey husbandry.
